Week1 term3

We're all glad to be back in Room 10. This week has been very exciting for us. Room 10 is all annoyed that   the cross country had to be postponed to Monday next week :(.On Friday we all had ice creams! Thank you Daniel for getting your name on the flame so many times last term.

Term 2

We've been very busy in Room 10 this term. We opened our classroom for I-Think night where we show cased our ICT skills, including our own green screen video! Te Marae has been our topic for the term and we have enjoyed making poi, learning about parts of the marae and especially visiting the marae where we made flowers out of flax, played rakau, learnt about  traditional maori weapons and musical instruments and practiced poi. It's nearly holiday time so we're working hard for the next two weeks before our rest. Photos from term two will be post shortly so visit again soon. :)

Update from Room 10

Here in Room 10 we are hoping everyone has a great Easter. Are you looking forward to the holidays - we are!!!! Last week Mr Pearce taught us about scribble art, we explored healthy eating and drew pictures for our food pyramid. We are still talking about our visitors from Japan, they were so much fun. In maths we are learning about measurement, let's see how much can learn before the end of term. We're missing Ethan who has moved to Australia. Hope you enjoy our blog.
From Room 10

Week 6 in Room 10

I'm so glad to be back teaching in Room 10! I can see that everyone has been busy while I was away, we have lots of lovely art on the walls and some terrific writing too. Well done Room 10, Mr Pearce said that you were all great.
This week the children enjoyed buddy reading and beginning to write their own recounts, I'm really looking forward to reading their finished work. We are working through the writing process, starting with planning and with most people now working on their draft copies.

Room 10's Class Treaty

In Room 10 we have been busy putting together a class treaty so that we can all have a great time this year. We acted out each part of the treaty and then using the middle team's flip video we recorded ourselves. Have a look and tell us what you think!

First Day in Room 10

Room 10's first day at school for 2011 was a great success! We had a tour around the school and made name plates for our desks. I am looking forward to getting to know all the people in our class and I know we're going to have a fantastic year together.
